(500) Days of Summer & Other News

So, it's been a while since the last post. (500) Days of Summer is out, and seems like it's doing really well. Some one at temple (who's name I didn't even know) came up to me and asked my profession. I told her I was an artist and she said "Oh, I think I saw your name at the end of a movie I just watched." That was pretty cool.

In other new news, a few weeks ago I finished doing storyboards and concept art for an upcoming family film called "Monster Mutt", being produced by the guys that did the make up for Benjamin Button and Alice in Wonderland - Drac Studios. There is an article online talking about the film a bit and some of my concept art is up there. Check it out here!

Hmm...other than that, just also finished working on some webisodes for a private company, and another round of Jenny Craig spots.

Another update regarding Playboys aka Miss February - it has now been titled Miss March, scheduled for release on March 13, 2009. Check out the trailer on IMDB. It's actually pretty funny.

I think I made a mistake in an earlier post informing you that Kamen Rider will be on at 930am Saturdays, but it is actually on at 1130am on the Cw/4Kids (right before Degrassi). Be sure to check it out! It's a great show. If you start watching now, it'll be easier to catch on to the storyline.

Also, I have signed up for deviantart.com, a cool website for artists to post and sometimes sell their work. I'm under the name "ooomehzooo". Not quite sure how the whole thing works, but go over there and check it out. Lots of cool art. I've posted a few of my recent paintings, but more to come soon.

KRDK and other updates for 2009

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, had it's sneak preview on CW4Kids! this past weekend. In case you missed it, the show will be officially premiering on CW4Kids Sat., Jan. 3, 2009 at 1130am.

Some other things to look for in 2009:

The movie Playboys (Fox Atomic), written/directed/starring Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore (Whitest Kids U' Know) has been renamed "Miss February", and it set to be released February 13, 2009. The other Sneak Preview Production, 500 Days of Summer (Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel) is set to be released July 24, 2009.

Trailer Park of Terror Update

So, it has been a while since I've posted. I just wanted to let everyone know that Trailer Park of Terror and Soccer Mom have been released on DVD in the past month. Trailer Park of Terror is actually on sale at Target for 17.99 under best sellers. They only have about 5 on the shelf, so they are going fast! Better run out and get one!

I recently finished working on The Irishman, an action/mystery/drama slated to start filming in January, which is being directed by Geo Santini, a really awesome up-and-coming (yes, i know...cliche) director. I will also be starting a new project on this coming week (Oct. 27, 2008). More on that as I'm able to share.

Comic-Con Madness & More!

So...as soon as I arrived at the San Diego Convention Center, I knew there was a reason I had vowed not to go back there, unless there was real reason (Yes...Jeff on the Storyboard panel was real reason). I drove around for two...2...hours looking for parking! Horrible! I was almost late for the panel, but luckily was one of the last people who was let into the room. Being able to see my buddy/mentor up there, and then afterwards, signing autographs(!) was worth the traffic nightmare. I also got to meet some other nifty illustrators and comic artists. Needless to say, I am vicariously living through Jeff ;).

For other Amy-Art related news, I just created a listing for my storyboard service on CreativeCow.net. Check it out when you have time. Also, I just opened a CafePress.com store. The store is empty at the moment, but I have some ideas being thrown down, and product will be up soon! Feel free to email me if there are any ideas you would like to come to fruition, or just if you have any inspirational advice! It's always welcome! In anycase, I will update you all when everything is up and ready to go. 'Til next time...

12:00-1:00 Costume Illustrators, Production Illustrators, and Concept and Storyboard Artists— The making of a film or television show is a collaborative process. Costume illustrators and concept and storyboard artists, brought onto productions to develop images under the guidance of the designers, serve a key position in the web of communication that is essential to filmmaking. This panel offers a glimpse into the fundamental importance of illustration as well as the seamless creativity between the key conceptual departments on favorite feature films and television productions. Moderator William David Hogan, director and storyboard artist (Into the Blue 2, Whiteout) will host costume illustrators from CDG, Local 892, including Oksana Nedavniaya (Narnia: Prince Caspian, Twilight), Phillip Boutte, Jr. (Star Trek 2009, Terminator Salvation), Felipe Sanchez (Speed Racer, Wolverine), and Christian Cordella (G.I. i don't know if any one even reads my blogs, but if anyone does, sorry i haven't updated it in a long time. lately i've been keeping busy with commercials. i recently worked on a USA Psych/Alltell commercial. If you see an ad on USA with the Psych guys playing racquet ball, i worked on that haha. Another big one was Shell V-Power Oil. look out for 2 scientists interviewing consumers about whether they would like free gas, or free money. i think it's a scratcher sweepstakes. Other projects recently were special effects for promos for the N Channel, Dancing with the Stars, and Project Runway. I know..there are so many different promos for them on the air, and i don't really know how to describe them, so I'll just leave it at that =).

As you may or may not have known, I worked on a little show called KAMEN RIDER: DRAGON KNIGHT doing storyboards for awesome director Mike Wang. The OFFICIAL TRAILER is online now! Check it out!

Also, I've been told the show has been picked up by a major kid's network for the fall!

Welcome to my new blog where I will try to post my latest sketches, work, and other creative doings, just for the sake of sharing =).

Lately, just been busy working on the upcoming MK v. DC game with my new storyboarding buddy Anthony. Also been keeping busy working on very fun romantic comedy indie feature, along with a variety of other very cool and exciting projects! I'll keep everyone posted...
