I'm trying to keep up with the 3D program, Sketchup. This program helps me to understand the physical space where a scene may take place when I am storyboarding. It helps me to get closer to "real" camera angles. I just downloaded a free renderer for Sketchup, Maxwell Renderer. I built a set for a California Lottery commercial. The commercial did not require a render, but I wanted to play with it, so I used it as my "test subject" and these were the results.
I'm still learning how to use it. The light source wasn't that great, and it didn't come out that photo realistic, but hopefully I will learn how to use textures soon and fix that issue! But, also, it's free, so I can't really complain. I will probably be purchasing the Renderer for Sketchup license soon...
